My vocabulary is rapidly expanding, and I have mom and dad (but mostly mom) to thank. The other day, I was playing trains with daddy when my battery-powered Polar Express took a fatal tumble off the plastic mountain. I looked at daddy, smiled and said "goddammit." It must have been the right word to use, because daddy could hardly control his pleasure at what I said. So I tried it out a couple more times before daddy explained to me that it was a big person word that I wasn't old enough to use.

I can't wait until I grow up. Words are fun.

Eli, I think you're totally old enough to use that word. And all of those other words I taught you, like:

F____
S____
B_____
C____
Coo____
P_____
F___W___P____S___T____L____D____M____F______s

I know fill in the blank is your favorite!

Yo Eli! We should get together and compare notes. The other day, after Daddy had a meltdown at Harris Teeter (wonder where I get it from), I was trying to talk to him about the f**in' red balloons. He didn't find me too amusing.
By the way, I'm a big fan of your blog. You may not be very good at sharing, but you sure are funny! Just kidding. I seem to be the one with sharing issues. But isn't it really all about me anyway??

I haven't dropped the f-bomb yet, Bubba. That sounds like a sweet idea. You and I need to get together and compare notes!

Eli,

I am new to the blogging world, but this is hilarious. If you have any questions about my name, ask your Dad. If he smiled at "goddamn" he should have what it takes to explain. Keep up the hysterical work. I can't wait to make it through your archives.

Eli: Your grandpa is very pleased by your expanding vocabulary. Hopefully the next 25 words you learn will be a bit milder, or your dad is going to get in "trig bouble" with your mom. Grandma and I are glad you enjoyed the circus and that you didn't think they were too mean to the animals. Looking forward to your next visit to our Alexandria home. With 2 cats and a dog, you may get to see fur fly, or at least some "hissy fits".
